With Terry Pettigrew-Rolapp, Tommy owns and operates Hatch Escapes, home of The Ladder (winner of a 2025 THEA alongside The Sphere and Tokyo SeaDisney), Lab Rat (ranked the 8th best escape room in the world the year it opened), and The Nest (another THEA-award winner). Hatch has become a hub for various pop-up immersive experiences in LA, and has collaborated with companies like Hyundai, Absurd Ventures, and the Bezark Company. Tommy was also selected for the 2025 XList, recognizing innovators in the experiential space, as well as the 2025 Blooloop Immersive Influencer List.

We won a 2025 THEA! For those not in the know, the THEA is, like, the Academy Award of the immersive and experiential design worlds.

The Ladder won the 2025 Audience Award from No Proscenium (NoPro) for Southern California. NoPro is the premiere immersive news and review site.

The Ladder stars Jordan Belfi ("Entourage"), Tony Revolori ("The Grand Budapest Hotel)", and Zelda Williams (director of "Lisa Frankenstein").
From the LA Times article: "That it incorporates a wide variety of games, puzzles, as well as film and animation — all of it designed to be in service of advancing a story — has made this escape room one that is redefining the medium."
Our first room is Lab Rat, in which you play a group of test humans in a laboratory run by giant rats.
In 2018, we were ranked the 8th best escape room in the world. This year we're 45th. Still not bad.
